Diablo 4 Farming Guide: Maximize Your Loot and Gold

Farming Mythic Uniques

Three primary methods exist for farming Mythic Uniques:

1. The Friendly Method: Gather three friends, use tributes in the Undercity Brazier, run the Undercity, collect materials, and use materials on bosses to earn more tributes. This creates a self-sustaining loop.
2. The Market Manipulator: Buy low-tier malignant materials (Hearts, Steel, Fear, Blood) online, kill Ubers, and sell the resulting higher-tier materials. Monitor market prices for optimal profit.
3. Uber Boosting: Buy a Duriel set, boost newbies through Ubers, and use the gold earned to buy more materials. This method’s profitability depends on market conditions.

Paragon Experience Farming

The Pit is the best location for Paragon experience farming. Aim for Pit levels above 90 or 100. Speed is crucial, so choose a build and Pit level that allows for fast clears (around 2-3 minutes).  Group play is recommended for increased efficiency.  Higher Pit levels offer more experience but significantly increase monster health, so find the right balance.  Always use an Elixir, an Opal (preferably equipment Opal), and an Incense to maximize experience gains.

Loot Farming

Pits are excellent for general loot farming. Use the equipment Opal and spend Obols after each run. The sheer volume of loot increases your chances of finding desired ancestral items. Utilize the bartering system by leveling all mercenaries to 10 for additional loot opportunities.  Infernal hordes (Tier 6) are another excellent option, focusing on the end chest for a guaranteed ancestral item (requires 200 ether).  Use a Seething Opal of Torment to farm Infernal compasses.

Farming Forgotten Souls (Abdusshits)

Tier 8 and 10 Infernal hordes are the best source of Forgotten Souls. Group play is highly recommended for maximizing ether gains.  Choose the right boons to optimize farming: prioritize “summon hellborn,” “hellborn grants more ether,” and “chance to spawn double the elites.” Avoid spires and ether lords, as they can hinder your run. Nightmare dungeons are a viable alternative, offering materials and loot alongside Forgotten Souls.

Material Farming (Raw Hides and Iron Chunks)

Raw hides and iron chunks are often bottleneck materials.  Use material Opals and always have an Opal active for the experience bonus. Uber bosses are the best source of D4 materials due to increased drop rates from salvaged items and the high volume of ancestral and unique items they drop.

Gold Farming

Trading is essential for efficient gold farming. Sell Diablo IV items, especially high-value ones like Rod of Keiki or Banished Lord.  Research top builds to identify valuable items.  Farming runes in the Undercity is a stable gold source, especially for lower-tier runes.

Trading Tips:

• Check previous listings to gauge item values.
• List items slightly below market value for quick sales.
• Consider listing items for zero gold to assess offers and determine the true value.
• Understand top builds and their desired stats to identify valuable items.

Other Gold Farming Methods:
